Hello Volunteers,
We are only DAYS away from the 33rd Annual Sun Valley Jazz & Music Festival in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho! I can’t wait to meet all of you!
Your assignment has been made! THANK YOU for your patience! If you do NOT see your name and we have not spoken (oops!) please email me at Volunteer@sunvalleyjazz.org. I apologize in advance if you did not receive your first or second choice listed on your application. Due to the limited number of Volunteers, and some of the closures that had to be made (i.e. Communications Center) we had to get creative. We worked harder at keeping you with a “buddy” than we did at placing you at a specific venue.

September 4, 2022: VOLUNTEER TRAINING
Hello Volunteers!! As of this writing, we are only 38 days away from the start of the Festival!! I can hardly wait!
The next step towards the Festival in October is Volunteer Training! If you’ve volunteered in years past, you’ll notice several changes, therefore, all training is mandatory. Especially since we haven’t seen each other in 3 years!
Unfortunately, due to staffing issues at the Sun Valley Resort, we won’t be having the Volunteer Luncheon prior to the Festival so we’re holding the training over Zoom.
There will be multiple training meetings to choose from but you only need to choose one.
This year we will have Site Captains but not Site Managers. Notice the separate Zoom training meetings for Site Captains.

If you will be attending the Zoom meeting with someone who is also volunteering (spouse or friend in the same room), only one person needs to register for one spot.
Please note that Volunteer Training sign-ups are displayed in a ticket sales format. HOWEVER, all training is FREE and you do not need to provide ANY payment information. Once you select a Zoom training class (by putting a “1” in the corresponding box,) any and all boxes requesting payment information will go away and you need only add your name and email address for the confirmation to be sent to you.

August 18, 2022: VOLUNTEER SHIRTS
Hello Volunteers! We’re getting closer… less than 60 days before the Festival begins!
As mentioned on the main Volunteer page, new volunteers must purchase the official teal-colored Sun Valley Jazz & Music Festival volunteer shirt that is worn with appropriate slacks, trousers or a skirt. Purchased shirts will be available for pick up in the Volunteer Office at the Festival when you check in.
Order your shirts HERE! One shirt per volunteer, please! Limited sizes and quantities available. Please note: Men’s and Women’s style shirts are the same but Men’s shirts have buttons on the right side and Women’s have buttons on the left. Also, ladies, if you wear a Women’s Large, a Men’s Medium should fit just fine.

Greetings! As your new Volunteer Coordinator, I want to welcome you to the 2022 Sun Valley Jazz & Music Festival Volunteer Team! Whether you have volunteered for 30 years or this is your first time, I want to THANK YOU for being here!
This page is dedicated to our Volunteer Team. Consider it our ‘bulletin board’ where I will post important information and updates between now AND during the festival! Be sure to bookmark this page in your web browser for easy access to the most up-to-date Volunteer information and remember to check our main website periodically (link below) for the latest on the Jazz Festival!
Please stay tuned for information about our upcoming Volunteer Training in early fall. We will hold several sessions over Zoom (or phone) that you will be able to join. Volunteer assignments will be made after the training, closer to the time of the Festival. These are the kinds of things I’ll keep you updated on through this webpage. Check back often!
Lastly, please peruse the list and if you don’t see someone you are expecting to volunteer with (spouse or friend,) please reach out to them and remind them to go to our website (www.SunValleyJazz.com) and fill out an application. We need new applications each year to assure we have current contact information for each volunteer.
